RESERVED
BOOK COLLECTION - Books requested by faculty members in the
various courses are placed on reserve. These books may be read in the
reading room only on one-hour loan subject to renewal if no other
students need them. Overnight loans are allowed for reserved
books at 4:00 p.m. and are to be returned not later than 8:00 a.m.
the next day.
Reminders:
1.
The Identification card is non transferable and must be presented to
the librarian every time a home reading book is borrowed or renewed.
2.
The Identification card is necessary every time a student enters the
library.
Fines
and Penalties
1.
A fine of Php2.00 a day is charged for failure to return a
circulation book on its due date.
2.
For failure to return a reserved book on overnight loan at 8:00
a.m., the following class day, a fine of Php2.00 for every succeeding
hour.
3.
A book that is lost should be reported at once to library service
desk where it is charged.
4.
A book not returned within seven (7) days after due date or recall
shall be replaced within thirty (30) days.
5.
Any library user who shall deface, mutilate, or steal any library
material or property shall be required to replace the same and in
appropriate cases be referred to the Student Affairs Office.
6.
Lending of the identification card and with book borrowed on it will
subject the owner of the card to suspension of library privileges
for two (2) weeks.
7.
A library user who fails or refuses to settle his outstanding
library account shall not be:
a.
allowed to register
b.
permitted to use the library
c.
given clearance from the library
8.
Making noise or loud conversation and eating within the library
premises are strictly prohibited.
9.
Using a cellular phone inside the library is prohibited. Any
student violating this rule shall be penalized according to the
University's system of discipline.
10.
Violation or infraction of the rules and regulations of the library
shall not be excused on the plea of ignorance.
CIRCULATION
UNIT - Books in the Circulation Unit may be borrowed for home
use:
1.
Period of loans
Regular semester: Three (3) days for undergraduate students and one
week for graduate students and faculty
Summer session: One week for both graduate and undergraduate
students.
2.
Loans of any books are renewable for the same period if not needed
by other students or borrowers.
3.
Number of loans
Undergraduate students
Two (2) books at a time, or more on meritorious cases
Graduate students and faculty: Five (5) books at a time or more
depending on need

DENTAL
UNIT - Professional books and
periodicals in the field of Dentistry are available in this
unit. Except for reference books and periodicals, they may be
borrowed for home use for three (3) days.
The
unit has internet facilities exclusive for the use of Dental
students.

Periodical titles in CD-ROM format
3.
On-Line Periodical titles available on the website
Computer
workstations are available in this unit for journals in
CD-ROMS. Articles found maybe printed out for Php 5.00 per
page.
Print
materials, however, may be photocopied for 15 minutes only.

UNIT - The Unit has a collection of reference materials in text
form and in electronic format. The text form is limited for Room
Use, and may be photocopied for 15 minutes only.
Computer
workstations are available for reference materials that are in
CD-ROM format. Researchers may request print out of the article for
Php 5.00 per page.
FILIPINIANA
UNIT - Materials available in this unit are:
1.
Filipiniana books and other materials which may be drawn out for
home use or room use only depending on the type of materials.
2.
Filipiniana Reference books such as Philippine yearbooks,
encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographical sources, almanacs, etc.
are for Room Use only and may be photocopied for 15 minutes only.
3.
Undergraduate Research Collection - a collection of undergraduate
theses and feasibility studies submitted by the graduating students
to their respective school/college and turned over to the library
for use as references by incoming fourth year students. These
materials are for ROOM USE ONLY.

CYBRARY
UNIT - On-line researching can be done in this unit. The
Internet Services supplement the existing print materials in the
library. Students are allowed to browse web pages and to do
e-mail but on a specified time only. In this unit you can also
borrowed a WiFi card bus adapter, ten (10) free per month and a fine
of Php0.50 cents per minute if the user exceed the allotted time.
